Foyle Golf Centre
Foyle Golf Centre is a premier golfing destination located on the outskirts of the historic Walled City of Derry, offering some of the best facilities in Ireland. The centre is situated on a beautiful parkland setting with stunning views of the famous Donegal hills.
For golfers looking for a challenge, the 18-hole championship length course, named 'Earhart', offers a par of 71 and is a fine test of golf. Water comes into play on the third, tenth and eleventh holes, adding to the challenge.
For those seeking a more relaxed experience, the centre's well-maintained 9-hole course, named 'Woodlands', offers a Par 3 and Footgolf course that's perfect for beginners and families alike.
The sixth green of the championship course overlooks the Amelia Earhart Centre, which commemorates the first lady to fly the Atlantic solo, and her plane landed here on May 21, 1932.
Foyle Golf Centre also offers one of the best practice facilities in the country, including a 30-bay floodlit driving range, short game area, and putting green. The centre also boasts a golf academy and a fully stocked pro shop.
Visitors are welcome any day, but it is advisable to book in advance. Handicap certificates are not required.
