The Saint Patrick Centre in Downpatrick offers a fascinating introduction to Ireland's patron saint. The exhibition, titled "Ego Patricius The Story of Saint Patrick," takes visitors on a journey through Patrick's life, exploring his legacy and impact on Ireland and the world. Interactive displays and stunning artwork showcase the Golden Age of early Christian times and the major influence of Irish missionaries in Europe from the fifth to ninth centuries.

The Centre provides a cross-community Education Programme for school and adult community groups, as well as facilities such as a restaurant, shop, conference rooms, and art gallery. Additionally, the Ulster History Circle has erected a Blue Plaque at the centre in honor of Aodh Mac Aingil, a scholar, poet, and bishop who played a significant role in Ulster's history. Winner of NI's Most Innovative Business (Small) at Tourism Northern Ireland's Giant Spirit Awards 2022, the Saint Patrick Centre is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in learning more about Ireland's rich cultural heritage.
