Malone Golf Club

Malone Golf Club is a premier parkland course that has been a part of Belfast's sporting and social landscape since its establishment in 1895. It has welcomed golfers of all levels, from those who simply want to enjoy the surroundings and bar facilities to serious golfers looking for a challenging course. Located just 5 miles south of Belfast in the lower Lagan Valley at Ballydrain, Malone Golf Club covers 330 acres of immaculately maintained parkland along the River Lagan and was designed by CK Cotton and Associates.

The tree-lined entrance sets the tone for a special golfing experience, and the facilities do not disappoint. With 27 holes of golf, three practice areas, a short game area, putting green, and lawn bowling green, Malone Golf Club has everything a golfer could want. The main course comprises the Drumbridge and Ballydrain nines - named after the local area. Measuring almost 6,700 yards, Malone is a solid test of golf, demanding accuracy from the tee due to the many mature trees that await a wayward shot. Once in the fairway, golfers must negotiate the championship greens, which are maintained to the highest standards.

Malone Golf Club is rightly regarded as one of the elite courses in Northern Ireland and is a must-play for anyone visiting the area. The course is open for play on Monday, Wednesday am, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, and no handicap or certificate requirements are necessary. The SSS is 72 for 9 holes and 71 for 18 holes, with a length in yards of 3,160 for 9 holes and 6,689 for 18 holes. The par of the course is 72 for 9 holes and 70/71 for 18 holes.

Malone Golf Club's rich history and picturesque location make it an excellent choice for golfers seeking a challenging and rewarding golfing experience. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just starting, Malone Golf Club has something to offer everyone.
