Major drainage work was carried out on the fairways to improve the surface of the course, and new permanent tees were installed, providing a better playing experience for golfers.

Resident professional Richard Johnston designed a new range of bunkers, increasing the number of sand traps from 12 to 18, making the course even more challenging for players of all skill levels.
