Ballyclare Golf Club

Founded in 1923, this mature 18-hole parkland course is set amidst the rolling green countryside of Ballyclare. The course makes good use of the natural features of its landscape, including the local river and tree-lined fairways, to provide a fabulous setting and demanding challenge for golfers of all levels. The course is woven through the stunning Antrim countryside and presents an enjoyable test, with lakes coming into play on three holes, providing a fabulous setting that all are sure to find accessible.

One of the most impressive holes on the course is the third hole "Orpinsmill", which is a demanding par 4 that requires a breathtaking tee shot. With out of bounds on the left and two lakes on the right, players must navigate through a tree-protected green to complete the hole successfully. At 6,373 yards, the course has plenty of longer holes for the power players to go for broke, while bunkers and avenues of woodland mean considered course management and precision are rightly rewarded.

After your round, you can relax and unwind in the inviting and friendly clubhouse, which provides excellent dining facilities for enjoying an array of food and drink options, including bar snacks, daily specials, and a full A La Carte menu. The club is also proud to be the home course of European Tour Player Gareth Maybin.

Visitors and societies are always welcome at this parkland course, and online booking is available for your convenience. The course professional is always on hand to offer expert advice and help you improve your game. The best days to play are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, providing flexibility for golfers with busy schedules.

In summary, this parkland course is an excellent choice for golfers looking for an enjoyable and challenging round of golf in a stunning setting. With its friendly clubhouse, world-class facilities, and convenient location only 20 minutes from Belfast and in close proximity to major airports and ferry ports, it's the perfect destination for a golfing getaway.
